Wyoming Women's Foundation Grants

Grant Guidelines

The Wyoming Women’s Foundation solicits an annual mid-summer Request for Proposal from Wyoming-based organizations that serve and support women and girls.

To have your organization’s name added to the mailing list to receive a Request for Proposal send the mailing address for your organization to info@WYWF.org.

The Wyoming Women’s Foundation will only fund organizations that have a current tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501 (c) (3). Projects without this status may be considered for a grant through an arrangement with a fiscal agent with a 501 (c) (3) sponsorship.

Following proposal review, organizations will be selected to receive a site visit or in-depth telephone interview by Wyoming Women’s Foundation board members and/or staff. Site visits and interviews will be completed by October and selected grantees will be notified in November.

Proposals that address economic self-sufficiency and access to opportunities for women and girls through systems change are especially welcome. The Wyoming Women’s Foundation realizes the impact continuing education, job training and placement, affordable childcare, wage inequity and teen pregnancy can have on economic self-sufficiency and widening opportunities for women and girls. Because we recognize the significance of these issues, proposals incorporating positive changes to current systems influencing these issues will receive special consideration.

The Foundation realizes the value of diverse constituencies collaborating to address systemic problems that directly affect women and girls in Wyoming.

Grant awards will range from $1000 to $10,000. If you would like technical assistance in writing your proposal or like to further discuss your proposal concept, please contact Richelle Keinath at 307.721.8300 X16, or info@WYWF.org.

Funding Priorities

The Wyoming Women's Foundation's funding priority is strengthening organizations and projects which promote long-term change in the lives of women and girls. These activities need not be in the form of new programs. Grant funds may support activities to make current programs for women and/or girls more effective, improve organizational efficiency in order to directly benefit women and/or girls, or support advocacy efforts. We are especially interested in funding organizations that address the following issues effecting women and young girls:

  • Continuing education and job training
  • Women’s leadership, empowerment, and mentoring

The Wyoming Women’s Foundation is the leading funder of change for women and girls in our state. We raise money to build an endowment that provides a reliable, permanent source of grants to invest in economic self-sufficiency for women and brighter futures for girls.
