Wyoming Women's Foundation E-news
Spring is finally here! The perfect time to help women and girls in Wyoming blossom.
April Showers bring Girl Power this spring at the Wyoming Women's Foundation
After a cold and wet April it feels as though spring as finally arrived. Here at the Wyoming Women's Foundation we pride ourselves on our green thumbs: we love to help plant, support, and grow new ideas that spread economic self-sufficiency to women and girls across the state and watch them grow!
One such great idea is Women's Health Day at Needs Inc. May 15th will mark the second time these bold women and men set out to help women in Cheyenne take some time to take care of themselves. Read all about this awesome endeavor here.
Another project we couldn't be prouder of is the creation of a WAGE Gap educational short by our spring intern Hanna Bush. Watch it here and be proud of a talented Wyoming woman. We sure are.
We are also impressed by Casper College and their efforts to honor and educate women. In April the campus hosted a WAGE training and in the fall they will be offering students two exciting classes that focus on women's contributions to American history and how to collect their fascinating stories orally. Learn more about them here.
Feeling left out? Now is the time to nurture growth and prosperity. Join us, with your support we will watch as women and girls across the state blossom in economic self-sufficiency.
Cheyenne, WY Given that women usually put the needs of their children and significant other before themselves, Needs, Inc created Health Help Day to meet the needs of female Needs, Inc. clients. Due to the success of the first event last October, Needs, Inc will be hosting a second Health Help Day Friday, May 15th. More.
What is the Wage Gap?
Not sure what all this talk about a gender wage gap is about? Watch Hanna Bush's video short and get a better idea.
