Celebrate Women's History Month by Giving Wyoming's Women and Girls the Power to Make History
Women are Powerful Assets
The women of Wyoming are powerful and valuable resources.  Here are some facts to think about during this year's Women's History month.   March 8th marks International Women's Day which started in the early 1900s and is now observed on every continent. The day is a time to celebrate the achievements of women and to call attention to continuing issues of gender inequality.
Women now make up almost half of the workforce, and are the primary or cobreadwinners in over 63% of American families.

Women owned businesses created or maintained 16% of all jobs in the U.S and generated over $3 trillion in revenue.
Fortune 500 companies with a high percentage of women officers have on average a 35% higher return on equity and a 35% higher total return to share holders than companies with a low percentage of women corporate officers.

The Wyoming Women's Foundation is working to fill the gap by funding programs that help increase women's economic security.

You can join in today! By giving to a women's fund, you help accelerate change for women and girls. Women's funds spread money to multiple organizations leading the way for womens' and families' economic security.   This month we highlight the work being done to address the care 10 year celbrationgiving portion of the economic wheel of self-sufficiency. We look at the work being done to improve care giving for children in the state as well as education so women can give more care to the wages they earn and the living they make.    Don't wait!  Help the women of Wyoming make history.
