We love our dads! They've played a huge role in who we are as women. Our dads have made us laugh and given us love, support and guidance along the way and we thank them for it!
We at the Wyoming Women's Foundation know the influence that men, in particular our fathers, have had on our lives. We recognize the importance of including men in the discussion because women's and girl's issues are really FAMILY issues! We invite all of the fathers, brothers, uncles and sons out there to take part in what WYWF does. If you know a male who you think should know more about us, forward this email on to them and have them watch this FUN video to learn more about why it is important for men to support the cause!

Until Next Year! Leap into Leadership Wrap Up
|

If there is one thing that dads taught us growing up, it was that if you want change, you have to get out there and make it happen! This May the Wyoming Women's Foundation and the Wyoming Women's Legislative Caucus' local Leap into Leadership workshops put dad's advice to the test, giving women, and a few attending men, the tools to lead. The workshops, presented by Katie Groke Ellis of the White House Project, proved to be a huge success! With a combined attendance of approximately 95 women at the Gillette and Evanston events, there is evidence that women are enthusiastic and ready to roll up their sleeves to help out their communities. Whether this means running for office, serving on a board, or supporting a candidate they feel strongly about, these women have the tools to get started! And we are thrilled to announce that plans are in the works for our 2012 local Leaps in Cody and Laramie. Stay tuned for dates!

The Women to Watch website is up and running!
The website serves as a storehouse of movers and shakers across the state willing to share their time and talents with others. This new website will serve as a central location where women can be found to serve as speakers, board members, committee members, or simply as resources for information, to name a few possibilities.
If you know someone who you feel would be a great candidate, please nominate them here.
