Kathryn Boswell Joins the Wyoming Women's Foundation
Cheyenne, WY
In 2009, Kathryn Boswell joined the Wyoming Women’s Foundation board of directors.
Kathryn is the current Residence Manager for Governor Freudenthal. Prior to serving on the WyWF advisory board, Kathryn served on a variety of other boards across all levels of the community including Little One of Tomorrow Child Development Center, Laramie Jubilee Days, and Habitat for Humanity.
Kathryn joined the Wyoming Women’s Foundation because she believes helping Wyoming’s women is a powerful tool for change. She chose the Wyoming Women’s Foundation amidst a myriad of other boards and organizations because of their broad, state-wide support and their approach to cultivating change in Wyoming.
“I was impressed with the unique funding philosophies and the idea of system change,” commented Kathryn. She further explained, “We bring a disciplined and focused awareness of women’s issues and funding to help address them. We try to be successful with past concerns that others haven’t been successful with. We try to provide unique opportunities in Wyoming.”
Kathryn contributes a mix of professional non-profit and governmental experience, as well as volunteer and community experience. Her creative yet practical approach to problem solving helps the Wyoming Women’s Foundation continue its mission of helping Wyoming women overcome barriers to economic self-sufficiency.
“I feel fortunate to be a part of an organization that has so many dedicated donors and supporters that help us be successful. Because we are a foundation and donations go to an endowment, each gift keeps on giving and giving and giving to the women and girls of Wyoming.”
