Dear WYWF Supporter,

The holiday season is here! For many this time of year is a time for reflectionwheel, a time for friends and family and a time for celebration.  For the Wyoming Women's Foundation, this time of year is marked by excitement and gratitude as we get to share our 2011 grantee partners!

WYWF has granted funds to eleven fabulous organizations from around the state whose work helps create economic self-sufficiency for women and opportunities for girls. The organizations focus on everything from job opportunities and housing to mentoring and financial literacy. And each organization is making a lasting impact on Wyoming's communities!

We recognize that your support is what allows us to support these fabulous organizations and we THANK YOU for that!   Please take a minute to LEARN MORE about our grantee partners.

Remember Charitable Giving as Part of Your 2011 Year-End Tax Planning

WYFHOP Families
2011 Grantee Partner: WYFHOP

Last year at this time, there was a lot of uncertainty regarding the tax rates for 2011 and beyond. Tax legislation passed in mid-December 2010 took away the uncertainty for 2011. However, currently there is talk in Washington DC regarding increasing tax rates and/or eliminating deductions, most likely for 2012 and forward. It is always difficult to predict what the legislature will do, and 2012 is also an election year. So while 2012 tax rates may be unknown, the 2011 tax rates are known and are still quite favorable. Effective tax planning requires considering at a minimum, both 2011 and 2012. This is obviously more challenging when tax rates are uncertain.

As we approach year-end, it's time to focus on last-minute moves you can make to save taxes-both on your 2011 return and in future years through charitable givingMore
